About

Sebastian Rodriguez is a Gibraltarian artist who primarily paints from life (en plein air, portraiture, and life drawing).

His last exhibition ''Day and Night'' Seb explored oneiric concepts in collaboration and plein air painting as two separate yet prominent interests in his life.

Teaching is a fundamental part of Seb's practice, and he has attended various courses at the Barcelona Academy of Art and other institutes in Sevilla. Locally, he teaches a DRAW FROM LIFE evening course at the Gibraltar College which is going into its tenth term and has taught plein-air work shops around Gibraltar and Spain.

Seb's background is varied. Seb graduated from The University of Reading in 2003.  Art has always been a significant part of his life, though e has also spent time as a musician and has worked in forensic mental health in London. For the last decade, Seb has operated from Face Frames Gallery, a Gibraltar based Fine Art Gallery and Bespoke Picture Framing shop. Face Frames Gallery coordinated Gibraltar’s first International Women's Day Art exhibition and has hosted artists from The Barcelona Academy of Art to other local artists.
